YWP reopening measures
Due to Covid-19 the world is not as we know it and things feel a little different for everyone right now. Yorkshire Wildlife Park has introduced some changes to keep you safe when you visit us. To ensure the safety of both our visitors and staff, we politely ask that you adhere to the new changes and respect the 2m social distancing rule at all times.
To ensure that we can comply with social distancing on our site, there will be restrictions on the number of visitors that can visit at one time. So, we can track numbers, every visitor (including annual pass holders) who enters the park must have pre-booked online. This does not include children under the age of 3, they do not need a ticket simply bring them along with you on the day.
For staff safety, there will be no facility for on the day payment at the ticket kiosks. Therefore, you will need to book your ticket to the park prior to your arrival.
We have introduced 3 arrival time slots to pre-book which will help mitigate queues on arrival. You may arrive at any time within the hour of your timeslot. The three slots are:
9:00 am – 10:00 am
11:30 am – 12:30 pm
2:00 pm – 3:00pm
The Park closes at 6:00 pm. We have estimated that most visitors will probably stay for around 3 hours.
So that we can review visitor capacities if needed, guests will only be able to book a ticket up to 2 weeks in advance to start with. When you book online, the system will take you through a process of booking and paying for an admission ticket and booking a time slot. We kindly ask that you do not book more than 6 tickets for any day.
Please ensure you book the right slot and day as we cannot offer any refunds or make any changes to tickets.
REMEMBER! If you are showing any Covid-19 related symptoms please stay in doors and seek medical help if needed. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/
Further to the recent Government announcement, YWP will re-open on Monday 15th June exclusively for our Annual Pass Holders and Tuesday 16th June for all guests. We can’t wait to welcome you back.

If you have another question that we haven’t covered, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Finally, we hope that there will not be a further lockdown or closure of the park however, who knows what the future holds. If a regional spike does occur and the unfortunate situation arises where we do re-close we will contact everyone who has booked tickets via e mail to transfer their booking into a gift voucher.
